Main announcement.

This is the one you likely got in the mail. Danny designed it with lots of helpful feedback from Melanie and other friends and family. Thanks to everyone who offered feedback. We are pretty happy with the end result and hope everyone else enjoys it also.

First design.

This was the first one that Danny designed. From Danny's point of view as a painter/illustrator, this is a wonderful photo because it has nice lighting to work with. It was also composed nicely to give plenty of space for text. After getting it all designed and laid out, we both felt like we should look at designing around a few other photos. It's a good problem to have, having so many awesome photos to work with.

Second design.

From the perspective of amazing composition of a photograph, this may be Danny's very favorite photo from the engagement pictures. Mark did a great job using the elements to create a natural, but not overly obvious framing of the lake. Design-wise this may be the best of the invitations, but it has two shortcomings. First, it doesn't show Melanie and Danny as prominently. Second, it didn't leave room to include reception information and would have required inserting an additional note for that. Also important to note is that this was my nephew Jonathan's favorite. The design was never quite carried through to completion. Danny may go back and get rid of the gaps between the small pictures one of these days.
