Melanie was born in Ohio, raised in Ohio, and her parents live there now, but those were not all consecutive. She has lived in many places around the US, but will now have to start claiming Utah. She never thought she’d come back to Utah and marry a Utah boy!!
After graduating from High School, Melanie came out to Utah to go to BYU. She studied Child Development and got her Bachelor’s Degree after a mere five years of school to get her four year degree. While at school, blah blah blah boring.
Okay, most recently (as in right before moving out to Utah), Melanie was working front desk at an OB-GYN office and taking classes through Kent State’s Master’s of Library Science program. However, after meeting Danny (see the Our Story section), Melanie quickly decided to move out to Utah. She therefore quit her job and put her schooling on hold. After all, what’s more important? As her sister often says, “You’ve got to keep the ETERNAL perspective in mind.” What a wise sister! So, the eternal perspective meant moving west to be with her honey, because the long-distance relationship thing was miserable, even though it was only for a few weeks. After all, when you know what you want in life, why wait?
Melanie now spends her time snuggling with her dog, Mimi, and Danny’s dog, Zoey, and making wedding plans while Danny is gone at work for long hours. She is also looking for a job, although it is practically a full time job to try to get Danny’s yard in shape and clean up his bachelor’s pad. She is madly in love, and counting down the days until the wedding! (She keeps threatening to just elope, but Danny says they shouldn’t alienate their parents.)
