Daniel H Staten is a Utahn through and through. Born in Utah, raised in Utah, lives in Utah now. He has mostly lived in the Sandy/Draper area. He has an older sister, Vicky, an older brother, Mike, and a younger brother, Paul.
Daniel, now known as Danny, hated to be called Danny when he was little. He finally came around and decided “Danny” isn’t so bad after all. Now, that’s how he introduces himself.
Danny loves to tell stories. It is very common to hear him say, “That reminds me of a story!” So, what will happen when he runs out of stories?!? Start repeating them, and hoping people have bad memories, I guess!
Although Danny is employed as a software designer, working on user interfaces of web sites and other intelligent sounding stuff, he writes novels and paints on the side. He has written several novels, which are in various stages of editing. (He has decided that one way to facilitate his writing is to marry his editor.) As for his painting, he does this on his computer. It is very different than “traditional” painting, which is definitely messier. However, he prefers the digital painting. He has a spiffy computer at home that he uses for his painting. He likes to paint pictures for his friends when they get married. He just finished one for his best friend that was painted from an engagement picture. He then gets them printed up on canvas and framed. He can’t wait to start a painting of him and his fiancé!
Home improvements aren’t Danny’s thing. He doesn’t always get along with tools very well. That makes his choice of wife even smarter – he found someone who can use tools, so he wouldn’t have to make friends with such scary things like a hammer or socket wrench.
Danny is going to marry the love of his life on November 28. Fortunately, he’s also the love of my life! I can’t wait to get started on our life together!
